how we work
- The first step we take once you have contacted us in relation to your works is to arrange a free consultation with a surveyor, which lasts between 30mins and 1 hour, depending on scale of works. At this initial meeting, all requirements will be discussed, and all relevant information will be exchanged. At the meeting, the surveyor will produce an outline plan sketch to give you a better idea of what you can expect.
- Generally, a guide price can be offered to you on the spot. In any event we will produce a fully comprehensive schedule of works, which will breakdown works and pricing accordingly, and this will be submitted to you by post within a few days of our meeting.
- Upon acceptance of terms, we can then arrange our architect * to visit the property and begin design works. All planning issues will be clarified, and applications completed. We will submit your plans to your local authority, once all drawings have your approval. Permission, where applicable will take 6-8 weeks.
- Once permission has been granted, we can normally begin works within 2-4 weeks. Before doing so, we will arrange a meeting with the team that will be carrying out your works, for you to meet them, and for them to be briefed.
- During the course of works, regular site visits will be made by the surveyor who originally saw you on our initial estimate, to check on progress, though any day-to-day issues will be resolved by your on site foreman.
- Once works are complete, your standard 2 year workmanship guarantee comes into affect.
